# Connect Simulator

## Activate simulator mode

The simulator mode gives you the opportunity to invest a fictitious amount with real real-time stock market information and thus try out the trader's operation - without any financial risk.

**Log in to BitBrokerTrade** and go to the "**Settings**" menu, then choose "**Exchanges**".

Choose "**Add exchange**" and then click on the "**Simulator**" button.

Name the link "**Simulato**r" and activate at "Exchange" the exchange where you have or would like to open an account. Your trader will trade with the information from that exchange.

Enter the amount of your desired investment capital at "**Start amoun**t". This way you get a realistic picture of the effectiveness of the trader software on your capital amount.

Choose "**Add**" and the link is active.

The next step is to link a trader to the Simulator. Go to: <https://docs.bitbrokertrade.com/v/english/traders/add-trader>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.bitbrokertrade.com/english/exchange/connect-simulator.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
