# BitBrokerTrade documentation: automated crypto trading

> The documentation for automated crypto trading with BitBrokerTrade. Learn how to set up your account, connect an exchange, and configure the trader.

BitBrokerTrade is trader software that automatically trades cryptocurrency for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through your own account at an exchange. You don't have to do anything yourself: the software recognizes upward and downward price trends and executes buy and sell orders at the right moment.

## Get started in five steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign up with BitBrokerTrade">
    Create a free account at [bitbroker.trade](https://bitbroker.trade/Authentication/Register). You only need an email address to get started.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open an account at an exchange">
    Open an account at one of the six supported exchanges: Bitvavo, Binance, Bybit, Bitstamp, Coinbase, or KuCoin. Deposit euros into your account so the trader can trade.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the exchange to BitBrokerTrade">
    Generate an API key on your exchange and add it to BitBrokerTrade via **Settings → Exchanges → Add exchange**. The connection is tested immediately.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure and activate a trader">
    Create a trader via **Settings → Traders → Add trader**. Choose your exchange, coin, strategy, and return target. Activate the trader, and it starts analyzing right away.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Track results via the dashboard">
    View your open positions, sell transactions, and total profit in real time via the dashboard. The trader keeps working while you do whatever you want.
