Part 1: Create a Bybit account
Do you already have a verified Bybit account? Skip this part and go straight to Part 2. What you need: a working email address, a passport or ID card, a mobile phone, a phone number, and the Google Authenticator app.1
Register an account
Go to www.bybit.com and create an account. Confirm your email address using the verification email that Bybit sends.

Complete Identity Verification (KYC)
In the main menu, choose “Identity Verification” and click “Verify Now”. Work through the screens to confirm your identity with your passport or ID card, your personal bank account, and your phone number.

Wait for KYC approval
Verification can take a few hours. You will receive a confirmation from Bybit as soon as your account is approved.
Part 2: Create an API key in Bybit

Open the API settings
Click your personal icon in the top right and choose “API” from the dropdown. Then click “Create New Key”.

Set up 2FA (if you have not already)
If you have not yet set up 2FA, Bybit will ask you to do so first via Google Authenticator. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate 2FA.

Set permissions
Set the API permissions: enable read and trade access. Make sure the “withdrawals” option stays disabled.

Save the key
Click Submit. A screen appears with your API key and API Secret. Copy both to a notepad, you will need them shortly in BitBrokerTrade. Then click “Understood”.
Part 3: Add the exchange in BitBrokerTrade

Navigate to Exchanges
Log in to BitBrokerTrade. In the left column, click Settings, then Exchanges, and then Add exchange.

Select Bybit
Click the Bybit logo to select Bybit as the exchange.

Enter the API keys
Paste the copied API key and API secret into the matching fields. Click Add.

Check the connection
The API connection is tested immediately. The status changes to “active” as soon as the connection is successful.
