From BitBrokerTrade you can export your sell transactions and credits history as a CSV file. Because Excel does not always automatically read CSV files correctly, especially when decimal separators and delimiters collide, two methods are available depending on your Excel version.

Method 1: Classic Excel (older versions)

Use this method if you have an older version of Excel where the text wizard is still available through “Legacy Wizards”.
1

Export the file and save it

Download the export file from BBT and save it to your computer without opening it.
2

Start Excel

Open Microsoft Excel.
3

Open a new worksheet

Create a new, empty worksheet.
4

Choose the text import wizard

Go to the Data tab → Get DataLegacy Wizards → choose From Text (Legacy).
5

Select your file

Browse to the saved export file and click on Import.
6

Choose the delimiter type

Select Delimited and click on Next.
7

Set the delimiter

Check Comma as delimiter and click on Next.
8

Select the number columns

Select all columns containing numbers and click on Advanced.
9

Adjust decimal and thousands separator

Change the decimal separator to a dot (.) and the thousands separator to a comma (,). Click on OK.
10

Complete the import

Click on Finish and then on OK to place the data in the worksheet.
11

Set the number format

Select all columns with euro amounts and choose the Number format (the “000” icon in the ribbon) for correct display.
12

Done

Your worksheet is now ready for use.

Method 2: Newer Excel version

Use this method if you have a recent version of Excel with the built-in Power Query CSV import function.
1

Open Excel

Start Microsoft Excel.
2

Navigate to Get Data

Go to DataGet DataFrom FileFrom CSV.
3

Select the export file

Browse to the saved CSV export file and select it.
4

Choose 'Transform Data'

In the preview window that appears, click on Transform Data (not load directly).
5

Change the column type to Text

In the Power Query Editor, select all columns with a number format. Right-click and choose Change TypeText.
6

Confirm the replacement

A pop-up appears. Choose Replace current.
7

Close and load

Click on Close & Load in the top left. Your worksheet now opens with the imported data.
8

Replace dots with commas

Select all columns with numbers. Press Ctrl + H (find and replace). Fill in a dot (.) at Find what and a comma (,) at Replace with. Click on Replace All.
9

Done

Your worksheet is now completely ready for use.

Which method should you choose? Go to Data in Excel. Do you see the Legacy Wizards option? Then use Method 1. Do you only see From FileFrom CSV? Then use Method 2. When in doubt, Method 2 works with all modern Excel versions (Office 2016 and newer).
